Memphis Literacy After School Alliance LLC is introducing an innovative after-school program designed to focus on enhancing reading and math skills while integrating a financial literacy component for students. This program is an excellent option for schools that are looking to establish or expand their after-school offerings, providing an alternative to traditional fine arts-focused programs.

Who We Are

Memphis Literacy and Tutoring Alliance, led by certified teacher Ms. Kei Shae, is committed to supporting literacy and math in our community. Ms. Shari is one of our additional Math Sponsors on this new project who has supported Children in Harmony, a renowned program known for its creative integration of music, dance, and fine arts, we bring a unique approach to education that not only enhances academic skills but also promotes artistic expression and cultural appreciation.

Program Overview

Reading and Math Tutoring

We aim to close academic gaps by improving literacy and numeracy. Our tutoring program is structured to help students achieve grade-level proficiency in reading and math, using Tennessee State Standards as the curriculum guide.

Financial Literacy

The program includes an age-appropriate financial literacy component, teaching students essential money management skills, such as budgeting, saving, and the basics of personal finance, preparing them for future financial success.
